Me and my brother George love having lessons at Staves with Mark. When we started about a year ago we both knew nothing about a guitar and now we can both play whole songs. It is laid back and you can have a laugh with the teachers, and you can play songs you enjoy. All of the teachers are extremely supportive and teach you what you want to know and learn. I can’t wait to start doing Grades.

My daughter Megan has been having guitar lessons off Mark for about 2 years now. The tuition is fantastic and Megan has improved so much since stopping lessons at school.

I love my vocal lessons with Jayne. I had singing lessons at college and didn’t particularly enjoy them so was a little worried that it would be formal and would involve singing songs I have no interest in. Also as a mature student who hasn’t had any formal tuition for almost 10 years I had doubts if this was for me. All of this was laid to rest within minutes of my first lesson.

Lessons at Staves are laid back and I sing the songs I love. The lessons are tailored to the individual and the tutors provide excellent support and knowledge as well as being friendly and down to Earth.

I’m also currently studying music theory in order to gain my Grade 5 Music Theory qualification. After that I’m thinking of working on my grade 8 vocals and guitar and after maybe another instrument. That’s to say I can see myself being a loyal customer at Staves for years to come.

Between my Daughter and I we have 3 lessons per week at Staves and without exception the tutors are professional and friendly and able to target the tuition to meet the students exact requirements. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to take up an instrument no matter what their age.

I have been currently attending Staves Music Tuition for around 4 months and its brilliant.

I came as a complete beginner with no background or expirience in playing the guitar. The tuition is excellent, friendly and tailored around what I want to do. Mark is a fantastic guitar tutor and a top bloke who has taught me soo much that I could not have done on my own.

I will attend Staves for many years to come!
